Sam Beckford is the co-founder of one of North Americas largest Music and Dance Studios based in Vancouver, Canada with 3500 active student . He has a degree in business in addition to an arts background and is the co-author of 2 general small business books. Since 1999 he has been doing seminars, coaching and consulting about the business side of running a studio.

Gary Gantz has been involved in the world of gymnastics since 1975. Gary is the President/Owner of TOPS Gymnastics, Inc. dba KIDS Are TOPS Sports Center in Centerville, OH. TOPS Gymnastics started in a 9,000 square-foot rented space and later purchased a 15,000 square-foot building in 1996. In order to expand and serve his willing client base, Gary designed and built his current location, a 40,000 square-foot multi-sports facility. TOPS moved to this facility in January 2007. KIDS Are TOPS' facility houses four gyms, two dance studios, a swimming pool, TOP Shop, snack shack and a conference area.

KIDS Are TOPS offers: swim, gymnastics, preschool gymnastics, dance, cheer classes, karate and birthday parties. TOPS also offers competitive teams in: All-Star cheer, gymnastics and dance.

In addition, in 2010, Gary became an affiliate with Frank Sahlein at 3rd Level Consulting. Since 2007, Gary has concentrated his efforts in developing a multi-faceted marketing program for KIDS Are TOPS Sports Center. Gary has been presenting at 3rd Level's International Business Brain Trust Conferences, as well as USA Gymnastics' Regional Conferences. Gary has spent the past six years researching and specializing in Front Office strategy and management, as well as marketing for children's activity centers.

Kyle is a former member of the National Championship Co-Ed squad at Morehead State University in Kentucky. Along with winning two college division 1 national championships with Morehead, he has also competed in several national college partner stunt championships (as seen on ESPN).

Partner Stunt finishes include three consecutive top ten rankings in the UCA College Partner Stunt Championships (3rd in 2001). 3-Time NCA College Partner Stunt Finalist, 2-Time COA College Partner Stunt Finalist. Cheered at Virginia Tech prior to Morehead, where he was an NCA College All-American.

He is also the former coach for the Gold Varsity Co-ed Squad at Morehead State. Worked UCA Staff for 4 years (Including college staff). Spent 2 years working for COA as a cheer instructor, camp director, and curriculum developer. AACCA, NCSSE, NFHS Safety & Rule, CPR, First Aid and AED certified. Kyle is the Virginia State Director for the USASF.

Patti Komara has owned a gymnastics school in Dyer, Indiana since 1969 offering gymnastics, dance, swimming, and a fitness-based educational preschool called Gym-N-Learn. Patti began speaking at national seminars in 1981 and has led hundreds of training workshops. Patti's Tumblebear Connection has produced more than 80 instructional DVDs. She has written books on yearly lesson plans for the internationally known Tumblebear Gym Program, School-age Gymnastics, Dancing GymBears, YogaBears, CheerBears, Gym-N-Learn, and her very successful Swim Program. Her programs are sold across the USA as well as in more than 20 countries such as France, Saudi Arabia, England, China, Australia, Canada, and Ireland.

Patti co-authored the original USAG preschool KAT certification program. In 2003 she was named USAG Business Leader of the Year. In 2005 Patti was selected as Client of the Year by Action International and in 2006 was given the national service award by USAG. In 2009 Patti began formal consulting for those in our industry and in 2010 her gym, Patti's All-American, was named in her local newspaper as "Best of the Region" once again.

Patti currently has over 6000 subscribers to her "In the Loop Monthly E-Newsletter" which she has published since February 2007. In 2010 she was one of five other gym owners named to the USA Gymnastics Task Force. In 2011 she was one of 14 named to the USA Gymnastics Business Advisory Ambassador Team.

Sue Mackie has served children in the swim industry in a myriad of capacities for over 17 years. Having been a member of the United States Swim Schools Association since 1994 and a member of the Board of Directors for four years, Sue was took over the position as the Executive Director of the Association in 2005. The U.S. Swim School Association is an association of quality schools devoted to aquatic education for lifelong safety, fun and health. Formerly the National Swim School Association, the Association was founded in 1988 to provide a formal trade association for swim school operators in the United States. The United States Swim School Association currently consists of more than 280 national and international swim schools.

Having completed a number of certification courses relative to her positions in the swim industry, Sue is also an experienced presenter for Association conferences and in her capacity as Executive Director, now also organizes and oversees all association events, and member services.

In addition to her Association involvement, Sue has been committed to teaching kids water safety, swimming lessons and aquatic fitness since 1994 through her back yard swim program, Aquatics Unlimited Swim School, in Fountain Hills, Arizona. While safety and fun are Sue's first priorities with the kids, she also recognizes the more intrinsic value of her program, including the development of self reliance and self confidence that typically occurs as goals are achieved. These are attributes that will stay with the kids throughout their lifetime and, according to Sue, is what really makes her job worthwhile.

Jeff Metzger, a native Cincinnatian, is the Founding President of Kids First Sports Center, a $4.5M, 86,000sf kids' tuition-based sports center. Frank Sahlein has been involved with the sport of Gymnastics since 1967 - as Gymnast, Coach, Club Owner, State Director, Consultant and Business Broker. Frank is a native of San Mateo, California and graduated from Hillsdale High School. He attended San Jose State University on a gymnastics scholarship, graduated in 1976, and moved to Boise, Idaho.

The amazing WINGS Center (under Frank's continuous direction since 1976) is a 35,000 s.f. "working lab" of synergistic programs. Frank pioneered the Children's Learning Opportunity Center (CLOC) concept - a unique blend of Sports Instruction, Child Care & Education, Entertainment and Outreach. The operational systems that Frank has designed allow the affairs of the Wings Center to be managed on a part-time basis. His wife, Shauna Swank-Sahlein has taken the lead at the Wings Center on a daily basis and also coordinates all Marketing efforts. These operational systems have set a viable template for Children's Activity Centers, and as a result Frank is sought nationwide by clients in our industry for customized consulting, expansion, valuation and brokerage services.

Jason & Amanda Williams founded Elite Cheer & Tumble in 2003 with 25 athletes in what they affectionately call 'the hallway gym'. Since it's inception in 2003, Elite has grown into an 8000 square foot facility with multiple floors, offices, a massive live feed video screen for the parents lobby and just recently added the 1000 square foot "Cheerleading Store" on the front of the gym. Elite is also officially the only exclusive cheer training gym in the nation. They have no in house squads, and no gymnastics programs. Elite is entirely focused on the training of individual cheerleaders and outside squads, and now trains nearly 300 athletes on a weekly basis, and over 1000 cheerleaders every year through camps, squad training, skills clinics and choreography. Elite now includes 3 full time staff and 10 – 15 part time staff depending on the time of year.

Jason & Amanda have a combined experience in the world of cheerleading and tumbling of nearly 40 years including experience throughout the country with Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders, time at Asbury College and Liberty University. In addition to cheerleading, they also own Elite Sports Photography (www.elitecheerphotos.com, Ultimate Inflatables (www.uiparties.com) (children's parties) and The Cheerleading Store. For Jason, this is all part time as his full time position is with East Coast Church in Chesapeake, VA as the lead pastor. Jason & Amanda also have three children ages 3, 5 & 7.
